    Microsoft willing to propose ready solutions to Armenia

    YEREVAN. - Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia Vahan Martirosyan on Tuesday received Head of Regional Office of Microsoft in CIS Ronald Binkofski, the press-service of the Ministry informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.

    The Minister highly appreciated the work of Microsoft Innovation Center in Armenia, expressing hope that the company will expand its presence in the country by creating investigative laboratories.

    Binkofski, for his part, noted that the company is interested in creating an atmosphere for startups in Armenia. Martirosyan also expressed willingness to support newly-opened IT companies.

    In this context, Mr Binkofski especially underscored the importance of the skill of conducting negotiations with foreign companies. He also proposed to share their experience in the area of introducing systems of city transport and traffic management. In his words, they can offer ready solutions in this area, which have already been successfully applied in other countries.

    Moreover, the sides discussed the importance of involving Microsoft in establishing a regional data center in Armenia.
